Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger Endorses Kamala Harris
Washington, October 31 (Hibya) - Former California Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has announced his endorsement of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris in next week’s election.
The 77-year-old Schwarzenegger shared in a lengthy post on "X" that he "doesn’t usually endorse," "hates politics," and "doesn’t trust most politicians," but felt compelled to support Harris and vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz.
Schwarzenegger wrote, "I’ll always be an American before being a Republican." "That's why I'm voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz this week. I'm sharing this because I think many of you feel like I do. You don't recognize our country. And you have every right to be angry."
Schwarzenegger added that during his tenure in California from 2003 to 2011, he left acting. He expressed disappointment in recent years with those in power who failed to address "our national debt and broken immigration system." He noted that this trend continued during election campaigns, as politicians preferred "having talking points for elections" over "providing public service that would improve Americans’ lives."
