Russian helicopter disappeared with 22 passengers on board
Moscow, August 31 (Hibya)—A Mi-8 helicopter of the Vityaz-Aero airline with three crew members on board is being searched for in Kamchatka; emergency services said 19 tourists may be on board.
“We have received a report that a Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the Vityaz-Aero airline has failed to reach its destination. According to preliminary information, there are three crew members on board. The route is Vachkazhets volcano - Nikolaevka village (Yelizovsky district). The distance is 25 kilometers. At the moment, an aeroplane of the same airline has taken off to search for the helicopter.”
The Russian aviation agency Rosaviatsia confirmed that three crew members and 19 tourists were on board.
