Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, received Hassan bin Hamza Hashim, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Uzbekistan.

Sharing details of the ambassador's reception and bilateral relations, Saidov said: "We discussed further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Qatar and the consistent implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of high-level dialogue."

Referring to areas of joint cooperation and the upcoming agenda, Saidov stated: "We exchanged views on expanding cooperation in trade and economy, investment, transport and logistics, energy, tourism, culture, and humanitarian assistance. We also reviewed the calendar of upcoming bilateral events and the current aspects of cooperation within international organizations."

Minister Saidov concluded his statement by saying: "The ambassador conveyed the sincere gratitude of the Qatari side for the personal condolences extended by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his recent visit to Doha following the passing of the former Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani."
