Schallenberg: We are ready to support a peaceful and inclusive transition in Syria
Davos, January 23 (Hibya) - Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg stated that Austria and the European Union (EU) are ready to support a peaceful and inclusive transition in Syria.
Austrian Foreign Minister Schallenberg met with Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Hasan al-Shaibani during the 2025 World Economic Forum.
Schallenberg noted that the end of Assad's brutal dictatorship has changed the rules of the game and said: "Austria and the EU are ready to support a peaceful and inclusive transition in Syria. We expect the authorities to fulfill their commitments."
