Prime Minister Schoof announced that he had spoken about Gaza with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.

Stating that the situation in the Gaza Strip is catastrophic and that the war must end, Schoof said: “Humanitarian aid is our top priority. Journalists must be allowed to do their work safely and without interference. Only a ceasefire can break the cycle of violence. Qatar plays an important role in these negotiations, and I conveyed my appreciation to the Prime Minister on this matter.”

Schoof described Israel’s recent announcement to intensify its operations in Gaza as a worrying step and a wrong move.
