Shapps: HMNB Clyde cornerstone of UK defence
London, May 12 (Hibya) - UK Defense Minister Shapps stated that The King's Harbour Master Clyde (HMNB Clyde) is the cornerstone of UK defence.
The King's Harbour Master Clyde ensures that every ship, boat, and visitor can safely and orderly pass through the waters of the Dockyard Port of Clyde.
Shapps added in his statement: "There are few places in the world as critical to defending freedom as the home of our hunter-killer submarines and national nuclear deterrence. Under this government, there is no doubt that we have a long and secure future."
