Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he was deeply saddened by the loss of life and property caused by storms, typhoons, landslides, and heavy rainfall in various regions of China.

Referring to the destruction and suffering caused by the disasters, Sharif said, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and property caused by the recent devastating storms, typhoons, landslides, and heavy rains in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the provinces of Hubei and Gansu.”

Expressing his condolences on behalf of the people of Pakistan, Sharif stated, “On behalf of the people of Pakistan, we extend our heartfelt condolences to President Xi Jinping, the Chinese government and people, especially the bereaved families.”

Sharing his wishes regarding the rescue efforts and the injured, Sharif said, “During this difficult time, we stand in solidarity with our Chinese brothers and pray for the swift recovery of the injured and the success of the ongoing rescue operations.”
