Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Yoon did not specify what specific measures would be taken. He cited the proposal by the opposition Democratic Party, which holds a majority in parliament, to dismiss senior prosecutors and reject the government’s budget proposal as examples.

Yoon described the opposition’s actions as “openly anti-state behavior aimed at inciting rebellion.” He also claimed that these actions “paralyzed state affairs and turned the National Assembly into a den of criminals.”

He characterized martial law as a necessary measure to eliminate these “shameless pro-North anti-state forces.” He defended the decision as essential to protecting the people’s freedoms and safety, ensuring the nation’s sustainability, and leaving a stable country for future generations.

According to local broadcaster YTN TV, the parliamentary speaker is heading to the National Assembly and plans to hold a session. Yonhap News Agency reported that access to the parliament was blocked, preventing lawmakers from entering.

Yoon accused the opposition of turning the country into a “drug paradise” and creating a chaotic situation that harms public safety and livelihoods. He also said the Democratic Party was attempting to overthrow the liberal democratic system, adding: “The National Assembly has become a monster that undermines liberal democracy, and the country is in an unstable state teetering on the brink of collapse.”

He assured the public: “We will eliminate the anti-state forces and restore the country to normal as quickly as possible.” While acknowledging that martial law might cause some inconveniences, he promised to make efforts to minimize its impact on the people.
