Montenegro's Prime Minister Spajic congratulated journalists in Montenegro on Journalism Day, January 23.

He noted that this day serves as a reminder of the extraordinary responsibility and importance of their profession in building a modern and free society. Spajic said, "In a time when fake news spreads faster and new challenges arise, your unwavering commitment to facts, professional ethics, and the principles of objective journalism is especially important."

Spajic emphasized that journalists and media play a vital role in strengthening democracy and endorsing social values and reforms in the interest of the state and all its citizens. He added, "The Montenegrin Government remains committed to improving the working conditions for journalists."
