Starmer: We will always stand in solidarity with the Jewish community
London, 14 December (Hibya) – UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer issued a statement following the armed attack that took place at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia.
UK Prime Minister Starmer said that Hanukkah should be a time of celebration and joy.
Describing reports that the Bondi Beach attack was an antisemitic terrorist attack targeting Jewish families during a Hanukkah event as horrifying, Starmer said:
“My thoughts are with the victims and their families. The United Kingdom will always stand in solidarity with Australia and the Jewish community. We are actively working with CST to ensure the safety of Hanukkah events.”
