Swiss Foreign Minister Cassis emphasized that human rights are not a luxury, but a necessity, saying: "As Switzerland assumes the Council presidency, democratic space is shrinking, insecurity is increasing, and crises are multiplying."
Cassis noted that in the face of such threats, action must be taken.
