Foreign Minister Sybiha said that throughout the night, hundreds of Russian drones and missiles caused new destruction and loss of life across Ukraine.

Emphasizing that Russia continues to completely ignore peace efforts and instead targets Ukraine’s critical civilian infrastructure, including the energy system and railways, Sybiha stated:

“This situation shows that no decision aimed at strengthening Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia can be postponed. Moreover, delaying such steps under the pretext of a peace process is especially unacceptable. On the contrary, bold actions — such as a decision that would allow the full use of Russia’s frozen assets — are more urgent than ever.”

Sybiha added: “We discussed this and other necessary decisions this week at the NATO and OSCE foreign ministers’ meetings. I call on our partners to implement these steps without delay.”
