Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha condemned the sabotage targeting defense company Milrem Robotics, which operates in Tallinn, and expressed solidarity with Estonia.

In a social media post, Sybiha alleged that the attack had been ordered by Russian special services, arguing that it was not a “random provocation” against a European defense company located on EU and NATO territory.

Sybiha said Russia was testing the limits of what Europe would allow and probing for weak responses, adding that acts of sabotage must not be allowed to become a “new normal” on European territory.

Sybiha alleged that Russia was trying to expand its war beyond Ukraine’s borders and claimed that countries, industries and infrastructure supporting Europe’s security and Ukraine’s defense were being targeted.

Sybiha said that in response to such actions, Russian operations should be exposed, related networks dismantled and sanctions imposed on those responsible, while loopholes supporting Russia’s war capacity should be closed and support for Ukraine increased. He also called for the rapid implementation across the European Union of entry bans on individuals participating in Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and for tighter EU visa policies toward Russian citizens.

Sybiha also addressed Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, saying Ukraine stood in full solidarity with Estonia and that Estonia’s “firm response” sent the message that Russian sabotage would be exposed and would have consequences.
