Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha expressed his satisfaction in speaking with Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen to coordinate positions ahead of the Coalition of the Willing meeting and the upcoming high-level contacts scheduled for next week.

Sybiha said that he informed Valtonen about the current battlefield situation and the efforts to compel Russia to end the war, and stated:

“I emphasized that security must come first and that ending massacres is absolutely essential for any diplomacy to succeed. Pressure on Moscow and the deterrence package regarding Ukraine are critical elements in strengthening our defense and resilience.”

Sybiha added that Ukraine values its partnership with Finland and appreciates the continuous support of the Finnish government and people for Ukraine.
