Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa received Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and his accompanying delegation at the People's Palace in the capital, Damascus.

Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad al-Shaibani also attended the meeting.

The talks focused on developing bilateral relations between the two countries, expanding cooperation in various fields, and advancing joint projects.

The two sides also reviewed regional and international developments and stressed the importance of strengthening coordination and consultation mechanisms to address the common challenges facing the two "brotherly countries."
