Tajani: 52 more Palestinian civilians to be brought to Italy
Rome, May 21 (Hibya) – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced that humanitarian evacuations of civilians affected by the conflict in the Gaza Strip are ongoing.
Tajani stated that 52 Palestinian civilians were recently evacuated from Gaza to Jordan and will soon be transferred to Italy on scheduled flights.
It was noted that the evacuated individuals are relatives of Palestinians previously brought to Italy for medical reasons.
In his statement, Tajani also called on Israel to stop military operations affecting civilians and reiterated his demand for the immediate opening of all crossings to allow humanitarian aid to pass through.
He also repeated his call for an immediate ceasefire and the release of hostages in Gaza, stating: “The war in Gaza must end.”
