Tajani: Italy continues to work for Somalia's stability
Rome, July 2 (Hibya) - Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani commemorated the Italian soldiers who served during the anniversary of the Battle of Checkpoint Pasta in Mogadishu.

Tajani paid tribute to the Italian soldiers who fought with courage, discipline, and a strong sense of duty in what he described as one of the most painful chapters of Italy's international missions.
Stating that Italy continues to contribute to Somalia's stability, Tajani said that Italy operates through its bilateral military training mission MIADIT and is also the largest contributor to the European Union Training Mission in Somalia (EUTM Somalia).
Tajani added that members of the Italian Armed Forces serving in different parts of the world continue to contribute to safeguarding peace, security, and Italy's international standing.
