Herzog said that he and his wife, Michal Herzog, had stood by the residents of Kibbutz Kfar Aza from the time they were evacuated following the attacks until their return home. He added that they met again at the President's Residence with kibbutz representatives and the families of those who lost their lives defending the kibbutz, listened to their stories of grief, and witnessed their process of rebuilding.
Herzog stressed that even on the thousandth day since the October 7 attacks, they would continue rebuilding lives, keeping hope alive, and ensuring that what happened is never forgotten.
