Palestinian Foreign Ministry meets with German parliamentary delegation
Ramallah, July 2 (Hibya) - The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs received a German parliamentary delegation and briefed its members on the latest political and humanitarian developments in Gaza, the West Bank, and the Palestinian territories.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates for Political Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Omar Awadallah, received the German parliamentary delegation in the presence of the German Ambassador.
The meeting focused on the latest political and humanitarian developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly the situation in Jerusalem and other areas. Awadallah said the ongoing attacks on Gaza had caused a severe humanitarian catastrophe, with civilians being targeted and infrastructure suffering extensive damage.
The participants also discussed settlement policies in the West Bank, annexation attempts, and the increasing number of settler attacks, stressing that these actions violate international law.
The Palestinian side stated that Israel's withholding of tax revenues had deepened the economic crisis and negatively affected public services, while also briefing the delegation on the government's reform program.
The German parliamentary delegation emphasized the importance of respecting international law and protecting civilians, stressing the need for continued dialogue.
