The CSTO Collective Security Council's regular session held in Astana
Astana, November 29 (Hibya) - The regular session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was held in Astana.
According to a statement from the Kremlin, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and the CSTO Secretary-General Imangali Tasmagambetov participated in the meeting held in a limited format.
The meeting continued in an expanded format with the participation of delegation members. The Russian side was represented by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration and Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, Presidential Assistant Yury Ushakov, Russian Federation's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexei Borodavkin, and Russia's Permanent Representative to the CSTO Viktor Vasilyev.
The Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergey Lebedev and the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Ming were also invited to the expanded session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
