The Volunteer Coalition Leaders Summit on Ukraine was held in Paris
Paris, January 6 (Hibya) - The Volunteer Coalition Leaders Summit on Ukraine was held in Paris under the hosting of French President Emmanuel Macron.
In the statement released after the Volunteer Coalition Leaders Summit, it was reported that coalition members, Ukraine, and the United States gathered in Paris.
The statement emphasized that all parties reiterated their commitment to achieving a fair and lasting peace in Ukraine in line with the principles of the United Nations Charter, and welcomed the progress made in the negotiations conducted between Americans, Ukrainians, Europeans, and other partners:
"In this context, the coalition has clearly expressed its stance that Ukraine’s self-defense capacity is vital not only for Ukraine but also for the future of Euro-Atlantic collective security. It was confirmed that Ukraine’s sovereignty and permanent security should be an inseparable part of a peace agreement, and that any compromise must be supported by strong security guarantees for Ukraine."
The statement also emphasized that, with the implementation of the ceasefire, a politically and legally binding guarantee system will be activated, and the parties are ready to contribute to this system in addition to bilateral security agreements, within the legal and constitutional frameworks of each country.
