Trump: Zelensky could have joined negotiations with Russia if he wanted
Miami, February 20 (Hibya) - The US President stated that the Ukrainian President could have participated in negotiations with the Russians in Saudi Arabia if he wished, while the Vice President warned Zelensky not to publicly criticize the US President.
US President Donald Trump said tonight at a conference in Miami: "If the Ukrainian President wanted, he could have joined a meeting between US and Russian diplomats in Saudi Arabia."
Continuing his criticism of Zelensky, Trump said that he did a terrible job and reiterated that he considers him a dictator. He also emphasized that Zelensky must act quickly, or there will be nothing left of Ukraine, which heavily relies on its military.
Trump expressed hope that a ceasefire would soon be reached and stated that he wants to be remembered as a peace envoy.
Zelensky, in response, accused Trump of living in a world of Russian information chaos and expressed hope for a constructive meeting with the US special envoy for Russia and Ukraine, Keith Kellogg.
Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance warned Zelensky not to openly criticize Donald Trump, who labeled him a dictator and blamed him for starting Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
