Tsahkna: Protecting Ukraine's energy infrastructure is of vital importance
Tallinn, June 26 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna commented on the attacks against Ukraine's energy infrastructure and the country's energy security ahead of winter.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
Tsahkna stated, "As Russia intensifies its attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, ensuring the continuity and resilience of energy supplies, especially ahead of winter, is of vital importance."
Referring to Russia's objectives, Tsahkna said, "Russia's goal is to leave the Ukrainian people without electricity, water, and heating. Our task is to ensure that these attempts fail."
Calling for support for Ukraine's energy infrastructure, Tsahkna added, "It is our responsibility to protect the energy infrastructure, help rebuild and repair power plants, and secure energy reserves."
