United Nations (UN) Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher called for stronger global leadership to tackle climate change, highlighting the floods in Pakistan's Hunza region.

Fletcher said that Nasreen and many other people living in Hunza are facing threats to their lives and livelihoods because of floods caused by decisions made far away.

He stated that they are supporting local communities by establishing early warning systems and building protective infrastructure, but stressed that these efforts alone are not enough.

Fletcher said, "We need bolder global leadership on climate."
