UN Secretary-General Guterres Calls for Ceasefire in Gaza
New York, October 27 (Hibya) - UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres reiterated his call for a ceasefire, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, and accountability for crimes under international law.
UN Secretary-General Guterres noted that Israel's military operations in northern Gaza have led to destruction and deprivation, rendering living conditions for the Palestinian population there unbearable.
Guterres emphasized that this conflict continues without adequate respect for international humanitarian law requirements. "In the name of humanity, I reiterate my call for an immediate ceasefire, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, and accountability for crimes according to international law," he stated.
