UNRWA: Children in Gaza have lost three years of education
New York, August 18 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported that children in Gaza have lost three years of education, putting them at risk of becoming a lost generation.
According to UNRWA’s statement, at this time of year, children in Gaza should be preparing for school, choosing their backpacks, sharpening their pencils, and dreaming about the new academic year.
Instead, children are searching for water, standing in line for food, and trying to shelter in school buildings that have been turned into overcrowded shelters.
“Children in Gaza have lost three years of education, putting them at risk of becoming a lost generation. We urgently need a ceasefire.”
