UNRWA: Over 2,000 staff teach in the West Bank and East Jerusalem
New York, January 10 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) reported that over 2,000 of its staff are teaching in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
In a statement, UNRWA reported that over 2,000 of its staff are teaching in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
The statement noted that there are more than 47,000 students in basic education across 96 schools, and over 1,800 students in vocational training. "Despite challenges, UNRWA continues to provide education for boys and girls," the statement said.
