UNRWA: We had to redesign our healthcare model in Gaza
New York, May 21 (Hibya) - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) released its 2024 Health Report.
Speaking at the presentation of the report, UNRWA health official Dr. Akihiro Seita emphasized that healthcare services in Gaza are being provided under extraordinary conditions due to the humanitarian crisis.
“We had to adapt and redesign our healthcare model in Gaza,” said Dr. Seita, noting that mobile health units, temporary medical points, and a 24-hour operational model were implemented to serve the most in-need areas.
The report highlights UNRWA’s efforts to continue providing essential healthcare services even under conflict conditions.
