US seizes Maduro's plane
Stockholm, September 3 (Hibya) - US authorities seized the plane of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Tuesday.
US Attorney General Merrick Garland stated that the plane was purchased illegally and violated the embargo the US government imposed on Venezuela.
The prosecution claimed that individuals connected to Maduro used fraudulent methods to purchase the plane and conceal the fact that it was intended for Nicolas Maduro.
The plane used by Maduro for official visits is a Dassault Falcon 900EX. When Americans seized it, it was in the Dominican Republic. On Tuesday morning, it was flown to Florida.
The Venezuelan government reacted angrily, stating that the Americans had hijacked the plane.
