US stock indices closed the day higher. The Nasdaq 100 index rose by 341.90 points to 30,084.50, marking a daily gain of 1.15 percent. The index traded between 29,757.62 and 30,168.05 during the day.

The S&P 500 index gained 50.49 points to reach 7,798.99. The index rose 0.65 percent on the day, with an intraday low of 7,763.18 and a high of 7,816.70.

The Dow Jones index increased by 69.72 points to 53,839.99. The index rose 0.13 percent, trading between 53,622.46 and 54,049.14 during the day.

The Nasdaq index, meanwhile, climbed 214.54 points to 26,803.03. The index posted a daily gain of 0.81 percent, while its intraday low and high were 26,612.85 and 26,875.52, respectively.
