US Trade Representative: The US will stand behind its trade agreements
Washington, 23 February (Hibya) - US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said the White House will stand behind the trade agreements it has signed with partners despite the Supreme Court ruling that could disrupt the Trump administration’s tariff policy.
Greer stated on CBS that partners are also expected to honor the agreements and that tariffs will remain in force under other national security authorities and Section 301 provisions.
Despite the ruling, Trump announced a 10% global tariff, later raising it to 15%.
