German Foreign Minister Wadephul commented in a post on his social media account on his meeting with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in Bratislava.

Wadephul said he was pleased to have an open exchange of views with Fico, noting that Germany and Slovakia are partners in the European Union and allies in NATO.

Wadephul said the two countries share responsibility for defending freedom and security in Europe, arguing that these values face threats originating from Russia.

Wadephul also said he met with Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar in Bratislava, noting that the two countries have close economic and political relations and want to further develop their partnership as NATO allies.
