New York, September 23 (Hibya) - German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul held a meeting with Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar as part of the 81st Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

Wadephul said Germany and India are strong partners within the G4 and beyond in the areas of multilateralism, peace and security.
During the meeting, Wadephul said the situation in the Strait of Hormuz was concerning and noted that Russia's war in Ukraine continues to be Europe's greatest security challenge.
