WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus calls for action on Gaza
Geneva, August 4 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus reiterated the International Committee of the Red Cross’s call for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held in Gaza.
Ghebreyesus emphasized, “We reiterate that all detainees must have access to food and medical care and must be treated without any form of humiliation.”
The Committee's statement said: “All forms of public exposure that humiliate or endanger the security of persons deprived of liberty must be avoided. This grave situation must be brought to an end.”
