Yermak announced that today the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children published a joint statement containing an open appeal to Russia.

He emphasized that the children officially included by Ukraine in the first list during the negotiations in Istanbul on June 2, 2025, must be returned immediately and unconditionally.

"The delivery of this first list in Istanbul represents the first step in the humanitarian direction – a confidence-building measure to initiate the return of the children. Every day these children are not returned is another day of injustice. The deportation and forced transfer of children is a war crime and a grave violation of international humanitarian law," Yermak said.
