Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski spoke with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and exchanged views on Russia's attacks, Ukraine's defense infrastructure and diplomatic contacts.

Outlining the main agenda items of the call, Zelenski said, “I spoke with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. I informed him about Russian attacks, our defense needs and preparations for meetings with representatives of the US President.”

Highlighting the shared approach to diplomatic initiatives and defense financing, Zelenski said, “Secondly, I thank our partners for listening to our need to close the gap in defense financing. We are working on it.”

Referring to his dialogue with Rutte on Patriot missiles and support projects, Zelenski concluded his statement by saying, “Mark told me about his talks on financing the PURL initiative and the Patriot missiles Ukraine needs. Thank you for your support!”
