Zelensky holds phone call with Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson
Kyiv, August 10 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
President Zelensky said he spoke with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and thanked him for concrete defense support.
Zelensky noted that Sweden allocated 4 billion dollars this year for their defense. “I informed him about the situation on the battlefield and we discussed the diplomatic situation in detail,” he said.
According to Zelensky, Sweden, like all Scandinavian countries, firmly supports the need to end the war as soon as possible, in a fair and reliable manner, and to apply effective pressure on Russia.
They discussed possible meeting formats and agreed with Ulf to carry out the relevant visits in the near future. “We also discussed our cooperation in developing Ukraine’s military aviation. We are currently determining on which combat platforms our air fleet will operate in the next stages. Our teams in Ukraine and Sweden agreed to work in depth on this matter,” Zelensky said.
