Zelensky Opens Door to Ceasefire in Ukraine
London, November 30 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told Sky News chief correspondent Stuart Ramsay that to end the “hot phase” of the war, NATO membership should be offered to the country's non-occupied territories, but NATO’s invitation must recognize Ukraine's internationally recognized borders.
Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that a ceasefire agreement could be reached if the territories controlled by Ukraine are brought under the “NATO umbrella.”
He added that this would later allow Ukraine to diplomatically negotiate the return of the occupied territories.
Zelensky emphasized the need for the rapid integration of the territories under Ukraine's control into NATO protection.
