Zelensky said that rescue teams were working across more than 30 Ukrainian cities and villages following the Russian strikes.

He stated that around 300 attacks were carried out overnight, including about 70 missiles of various types, including ballistic ones. The targets included Kyiv and its region, as well as Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa, Poltava, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and Cherkasy. “These were deliberate attacks on ordinary cities. Sadly, people, including children, were killed,” he said.

Zelensky emphasized that each new Russian attack is sufficient reason for additional sanctions against Russia, adding:

“Russia is prolonging this war and continues to kill every day. The world may go on weekend breaks, but the war continues regardless. The silence of America and other countries only encourages Putin. He must be forced to think about ending the war, not about launching missiles.”
