Zelensky: Ukraine highly values its relations with Turkey
Ankara, February 18 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine highly values its relations with Turkey, their mutual understanding, and the support received during wartime.
President Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine places great importance on its relations with Turkey, their mutual understanding, and the support received during wartime, saying: "We are grateful for the warm welcome in negotiations, hospitality, and certainly the constructive approach."
Zelensky explained that he, together with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, discussed in detail the global processes that could help end Russia’s war against Ukraine, including the importance of efforts to secure security guarantees for Ukraine.
He added: "We also discussed bilateral relations, economic issues, cooperation between our societies in the field of education, various projects, food security, and efforts to return our captives held in Russia. We are grateful for all the support Turkey provides to our country and people, as well as for its principled stance on our state's sovereignty and territorial integrity."
