Ukrainian President Zelensky held a phone call with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Zelensky congratulated Aliyev and the entire Azerbaijani people on the agreements reached with Armenia, with the support of U.S. President Donald Trump, for lasting peace and reliable security in the South Caucasus region, noting that the world reacted very positively to the trilateral meeting in Washington.

Zelensky informed Aliyev about his contacts with partners, stating:

"Everyone is equally focused on truly ending the war and ensuring diplomacy is effective. We discussed the fundamental principles that could further bring communication and peace closer with the United States and European countries. I am grateful for the support of our people and our state. It is important that the joint efforts of the world force Russia to stop its hostilities and aggression."
