Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia continues its attacks on his country's energy system, emphasizing that Moscow has taken no steps toward reducing tensions.
In a post on his social media account, Zelensky condemned attacks by Russian forces targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
Pointing out that Russia's operations against electricity generation facilities, energy grids and interconnectors are continuing without interruption, Zelensky said:
"Every day, Russian attacks strike our energy infrastructure, causing extensive damage. Russia's operation against our power generation facilities, energy grids and interconnectors continues. Last night alone, 17 ballistic missiles were launched, some of which struck our oil refining infrastructure in Kremenchuk. The Russians have not taken a single step toward reducing tensions in the energy sector. We will respond appropriately and fairly."
