6.8 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Southwestern China
Beijing, January 7 (Hibya) — A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Tibet Autonomous Region in southwestern China.
According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake occurred on Tuesday at a depth of 10 kilometers in the Tibet Autonomous Region of southwestern China.
Initial reports indicate no information on fatalities or injuries. The region is known as a frequently earthquake-prone area.
