Al-Sharaa meets Iraqi Prime Minister Al-Zaidi in Damascus
Damascus, October 28 (Hibya) - Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa received Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi and his accompanying delegation at the People's Palace in Damascus. The meeting focused on strengthening relations between the two countries and expanding cooperation in security, economic and trade sectors.
According to a statement issued by the Syrian Presidency, the two sides discussed regional and international developments as well as various issues of mutual interest. The meeting was held with the aim of promoting mutual interests and strengthening security and stability in the region.
The Syrian delegation included the ministers of foreign affairs, justice, energy and finance. The Iraqi delegation comprised the deputy prime minister responsible for economic affairs, the ministers of foreign affairs, finance, oil and justice, and several other officials.
