Albares: The key to peace in the Middle East is Syria's stability
Madrid, May 5 (Hibya) – Spain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, said that the key to peace in the Middle East is the stability of Syria.
Minister Albares expressed deep concern about the violence in Syria, emphasizing that authorities must ensure the protection of all religious and ethnic communities.
He stated that Syria’s stability is the key to peace in the region, adding, “Spain is committed to its unity and territorial integrity.”
Albares noted that the reoccupation of the Golan Heights and attacks on Syria lead to further destabilization of the region and hinder a peaceful and inclusive political transition, calling on the Israeli government to stop these actions.
