Aliyev meets with his Turkmen counterpart Berdimuhamedov
Baku, June 22 (Hibya) - Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was officially welcomed during his state visit to Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev welcomed Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and attended the ceremony. An honor guard was formed for the President of Turkmenistan in the square decorated with national flags.
During the ceremony, the commander of the honor guard reported to Berdimuhamedov, after which the national anthems of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan were played. The honor guard marched past the two leaders accompanied by a military march.
As part of the program, members of the delegations of both countries were introduced to each other.
