Anand: Canada to provide $863,000 in support for Ukrainians returning from Russian captivity
Ottawa, September 29 (Hibya) – Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand announced that an additional $863,000 will be provided to Ukrainians returning from Russian captivity and to organizations supporting their recovery.

Anand said in a social media post that every Ukrainian child has the right to know their language, culture and the warmth of their family.
Anand said that returning Ukrainian children to their country means protecting their identities, which she said Russia had tried to take away from them, and added that the children should be able to grow up in a free Ukraine.
Anand said the $863,000 in support is in addition to the $6 million in assistance announced earlier this month by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski.
