Araghchi: International law is not a tool used for convenience
Tehran, March 26 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi described the United States’ Middle East policies as “double standards.”
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi made a statement regarding the U.S.'s military and diplomatic stance in the region.
Referring to the U.S. position toward Israel and Iran, Araghchi said, "The U.S. supported Israel's blockade of Gaza under the pretext of 'security' and cut off aid, but condemned Iran for defending itself in the Strait of Hormuz."
Emphasizing "double standards" regarding tensions in the region, Minister Araghchi concluded his remarks by saying, "While Israel’s crimes are deemed acceptable, Iran’s defense against aggressors is condemned. International law is not a tool used for convenience."
