Asian markets struggle to find direction
Istanbul, July 23 (Hibya) - Asian stock markets moved in mixed directions during the trading session as major indices failed to establish a clear trend.
Technology stocks and major regional indices delivered mixed performances, with the markets in Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia ending the day higher, while India and China posted declines.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index (HSI) gained 1.34% to close at 25,227.06 points. Japan's Nikkei 225 Index rose 0.60% to finish at 66,515.25 points, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index advanced 0.58% to 8,874.20 points.
By contrast, India's NIFTY 50 Index fell 0.31% to 23,922.35 points.
China's Shanghai Composite Index underperformed the broader regional market, declining 0.19% to end the session at 3,859.688 points.
