Asian stock markets trade mixed
Istanbul, October 9 (Hibya) – Stock markets in China and India advanced on buying interest across the Asia-Pacific region, while South Korea's KOSPI index came under heavy selling pressure.
Asia-Pacific equity markets ended a mixed trading session marked by notable divergence among regional markets. India's Nifty 50 index rose 1.08% to 22,472.15 points, finishing the day on a strong note, while China's FTSE China 50 index gained 1.02% and Hong Kong's Hang Seng index advanced 0.98%.
Australia's S&P/ASX 200 index also traded higher on buying interest, closing the day with a 0.61% gain. In contrast, South Korea's KOSPI index underperformed the region, falling a significant 2.62% to 6,625.93 points. Japan's Nikkei 225 index ended the day with a modest decline of 0.11%.
